He was born on 17 May 1970. Before Hubert Davis’s coaching career, he had played for North Carolina from the year 1988 to 1992 and for the National Basketball Association for the New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards, Detroit Pistons, and New Jersey Nets from the year 1992 to 2004. Hubert Davis also holds the franchise single-season and career 3-point field goal shooting percentage record which is for both the Nicks and the Mavericks.

Early Life and Education

He has attended Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia averaged 28.0 points for a game his senior year. He has also attended the same school as future Tar Heels women’s soccer great as well as Olympic medalist Mia Hamm. After that, he went on to the University of North Carolina where Hubert Davis holds the record for the highest career 3-pointer percentage in the history of schools.
