Kishori Lal Sharma is originally from Punjab in Ludhiana and is believed to be close to the Gandhi family as he has been the manager for the Congress Party as well as Sonia Gandhi in the absence of Rae Bareli. He was closely associated with the former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi and after his death in 1991 is Bond with the Gandhi family became stronger.
