Renowned as one of the best goal-line and short-yard runners in NFL history, Allen was picked 10th overall by the Raiders in the 1982 NFL draft after a standout college career with the USC Trojans. He played 11 seasons with the Raiders before finishing his career with a five-season stint with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Nicole Brown Simpson Bio
Nicole Brown Simpson was born on May 19, 1959, and was the second wife of former American football player O.J. Simpson. The two met in 1977 and got married in 1985, five years after Simpson retired from professional football. Their marriage, which lasted seven years, produced two children, a daughter and a son.
During their relationship, Nicole suffered emotional, verbal, and physical abuse from Simpson. She called the police multiple times to report the abuse, but Simpson was only arrested once, in 1989. He pleaded no contest to spousal abuse charges, but Nicole dropped them after her parents urged her to reconcile with him. In 1992, Nicole filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Despite their separation and eventual divorce, Simpson continued to abuse her.
Relationship between Marcus Allen and Nicole Simpson
Football star Marcus Allen testified under oath on Friday that O.J. Simpson called him from jail, asking him to lie about his relationship with Simpson’s ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. This testimony came during the wrongful death civil suit against Simpson, filed by the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.
Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman, were found stabbed to death outside her home on June 13, 1994. Although Simpson was acquitted of the murders in October, he claimed that Allen had confided in him about dating Nicole and having a sexual relationship with her after her divorce. Simpson argued that his continued friendship with Allen, including hosting Allen’s 1993 wedding at his Brentwood mansion, was evidence that he was not a jealous ex-husband.
However, Allen, a Heisman Trophy winner and NFL running back with the Kansas City Chiefs, denied ever having a sexual relationship with Nicole Brown Simpson. He also testified that he never told Simpson otherwise. According to a lawyer present during the deposition, Allen stated that Simpson called him from jail and asked him to corroborate the false story about his relationship with Nicole. Allen refused and subsequently ended his longtime friendship with Simpson.
When Simpson attempted to force Allen to testify at his murder trial, a Kansas judge upheld Allen’s challenge of the subpoena. During his testimony, Allen also mentioned that he never discussed the evidence in the murder case with Simpson and never heard him admit guilt, as confirmed by Daniel Petrocelli, a lawyer for the Goldman family.
